Pat offers counseling to adolescent and adults. He starts his work with clients by attempting to see the world through their eyes. By establishing a trusting relationship based on understanding and shared goals, the process of removing barriers that prevent individuals from having a fulfilling life can begin.
Pat believes that human beings are complex, but understandable. Breaking old habits and creating lasting change is possible when we understand why we do what we do, and practice new ways of relating to ourselves and others. Pat integrates a wide range of approaches, maintaining a focus on clients’ specific needs, continually adjusting his work so as to attend to what matters most. His areas of expertise include: self-esteem, depression, anxiety, sport/performance psychology, gender identity development, interpersonal conflict, existential questions, and addiction recovery. Pat has experience with college counseling, outpatient behavioral health, and community clinic settings.
Pat is currently receiving supervision and working toward becoming a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Minnesota.
When Pat is not at work, he spends time with his family, visiting Como Zoo, attending professional sporting events, hiking, and reading lots of books to his daughter.
